EPC's
An Energy Performance Certificate, EPC, shows the official energy efficiency rating of a property. It is produced using the RDSAP software programme, with data collected during the property survey by our domestic energy assessors.
An EPC provides a rating for the property, showing its energy efficiency and its environmental impact on a scale from A-G (where A is the most efficient and G the least efficient), in graphical format. It also contains recommendations to improve the building's energy performance, as well as typical annual charges for 'lighting' 'hot water' and 'heating'.
All buildings in the UK constructed, sold or rented now require an Energy Performance Certificate, in accordance with the European Energy Performance of Buildings Directive.
Maximise your property rating by incorporating a few of the following low cost changes.
- Fit energy saving light bulbs
- Fit a 160mm thick hot water cylinder jacket
- Fit or top up your Loft insulation to a minimum of 300mm thickness
- Install Cavity wall insulation if you can to your property *
* contact your local experts to see if your home is suitable
